Well this movie wasn't as good as the Oscars made it out to be. In a short synopsis you have a book-intelligent chick who got tempted away by an older dude. She had fun while it lasted but in the end it turned out that she got played and has to go back to the core of what she knew her life as. I really don't see what is so substantial about that plot.
Carey Mulligan was a pretty good up and coming actor and the other dude was ok but nothing extrodinary came out of either one. The take-away from this movie was that girls make some dumbass choices sometimes because they "feel" with their hopes and not with their head. Just like guys are led by their junk.

You know this movie was actually not too bad. It wasn't exactly a zombie flick, but people getting some odd disease and them turning nutty is pretty close. The film follows a fairly realistic pattern of how shit would go down if the military accidently let some biochemical weapon loose in a town. They'd try to quarantine and cover that shit up.
A lot of the film was the main characters trying to run away and that also is pretty realistic in terms of them not being prepared and them looking for water and other necessities and such. All of the lawlessness of peeps while there is no "system" in place also hits the spot.
The main chick, Radha Mitchell, was a pretty whiny bitch though. I dunno if the husband woulda really stuck around with that nagging going on in his ear all the time.
The end was OK, but I don't know how good a sequel would be to this. Overall it was worth a watch just because it shows what would most likely happen in such a scenario.

Well this movie was your run-of-the-mill animated comedy. It was entertaining at times...namely 4, but besides those rare occurrences, I'm much too old to enjoy these types of movies. The blob guy was pretty funny though.

This movie can barely be considered a documentary. In reality it can't be because there was practically no talking in it, unless there is such a thing called a visual documentary.
This "movie" reminded me of DVDs that have back-stage film of a set while shooting some movie. You know, the type that has the director blah blahing and actors making quirky comments to the camera. This was probably why all of this footage was being collected. But yeah the film felt like the people who were going to put together MJ's concert tour wanted their money's worth even though he had died, so they quickly decided to smush all of this footage together to try to recreate for the audience how the show would've looked like. I'm sure they still lost a shitload of money.
I've never been to a super long concert minus that one time going to Metalica. I have to say I enjoy listing and dancing to music in my own house or maybe at some club. Actually going to a concert doesn't seem all too fun. Anyway, the show would've been OK for normal people. Maybe more than OK for the die-hard fans. Kinda sucks that he died but seriously...everyone still remembered him as being the dude who slept with kids and had questionable interactions with them even though he was found not guilty. He was a good dancer and entertainer though.
One humorous thing I discovered was that in the song Smooth Criminal, the lyric is actually "Annie are you OK"...for all of my life...and I mean all of it...I thought that the phrase was "Eddie are you OK." Geez, I'm lucky nobody was around to call me on that.

Go Sam Worthington, it's good to see another actor doing more and more stuff. Even though his actual acting skills have not yet been proven, I'm willing to back him.
This remake of the claymation film from the 80s is pretty good for a remake. They used the latest in digital film technology to pump out some pretty good scenes. The story seemed a bit more rushed though...maybe because they knew that the crazy visuals would need more up-time. Yeah while watching it I began to remember why I never really liked Greek mythology. It had way too many Gods and creatures and they all seemed like assholes and selfish pricks. This film kinda further backed that feeling.
If you liked the original when you were a kid then this is definitely worth it to watch once at least.
